Dee learned the values of hard work, motivation, dedication, and loyalty from a young age, working alongside her family in their first local business in Welling, Worth’s Bakery. Dee has always lived life in the fast lane! Whilst completing her BA Honours Degree at the University of the Arts, Dee was busy planning her wedding the same year she graduated. Six weeks after her wedding Dee had fallen pregnant with her first born Tay. Juggling motherhood and work Dee never faltered at providing customer service as her top priority: where she strives to provide the best she can at all times.
Becoming a mother to her two children now aged 10 and 12, heightened Dee’s sense of responsibility towards children and ensuring they have the best possible start in life. With the support of her parents, she had a fantastic opportunity to design a Soft Play Party Venue for the Burger King Franchise which opened 5 years ago on Welling High Street. Recognising the need for stimulation in children, Dee turned to her community, wanting to provide more than this. Stay and Play sessions, Storytimes, Musical movement and various enrichment classes soon led to her desire to establish a Soft Play Nursery which has become a vital part of the community today. Dedicated to give it everything she could, she qualified with her Level 3 in Childcare Education and 6th June 2021 started the magical journey of Little Wing’s Big Dreams Nursery.
Having poured her heart into making each day a learning adventure, Dee has gained invaluable hands-on experience, working closely with children across various age groups. She believes in the child-centred approach and knows that every child can achieve greatness by having the belief of amazing teachers and positive role models around them. Little Wing’s Big Dreams prides in its nurturing home from home Day Nursery, welcoming children as young as 3 months old into their warm and loving environment, endeavouring to offer every child and family that walks through the doors the utmost best opportunities and fantastic enrichments as part of the Little Wing’s curriculum.
In her spare time, Dee is either doing admin for the nursery from home catching up with house chores and enjoys her weekends helping her family in Worth’s Bakery and taking her two children to their extra curricular activities.
